Description

Rolex GMT Master 16750

One of the first truly legendary Rolex sports watches, the GMT Master was originally created in 1954 in collaboration with now-defunct airline Pan Am, to provide pilots with a watch with a second time zone. The watch was (and is) known for its striking blue and red 'Pepsi' 24-hour bezel, which uses two colours to differentiate day and night. The reference 16750 followed on from the iconic 1675, and saw the introduction of the quickset feature thanks to calibre 3075. In production from roughly 1981 to 1988, a comparatively short period, these watches are true vintage gems that continue to see high popularity among collectors. This Rolex GMT Master 16750 has a black dial and a bracelet strap. Due to age, this Rolex may not fall within our typical expected tolerances for timekeeping, and is no longer suitable for use in wet environments or submersion in water. In the interests of preserving original features, utmost care has been taken to sympathetically restore this watch. It has also been referenced against technical documents and manufacturer records where available to ensure authenticity and a clean history. One of our skilled polishing technicians has removed marks on the case and bracelet of this watch, brought about by daily wear and tear, which is why this watch does not come with the remaining manufacturer’s warranty.
