Rolex - GMT Master Nipple Dial - Gold and Steel - Model 1675 - Box & Papers - c.1979

Case Steel & Yellow Gold Dial Black Box Yes Papers yes The Rolex GMT-Master wristwatch was originally designed in collaboration with the Pan American Airways in the 1950s and issued by the airline to their crews on long-haul flights. ("GMT" in the name stands for Greenwich Mean Time, which was later replaced by Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), though the watch kept its name). What's on Offer Fancy a head-turning vintage piece from Rolex in gold and steel with a beautiful nipple dial (cheeky)? We got you covered! This vintage 1970s GMT Master paired with its original jubilee bracelet in opulent gold and steel and is in fantastic pre-owned condition and is offered for sale with its original box and papers. The 1675 reference was discontinued in 1980 so this piece is possibly one of the last produced which makes it even more special! The dial is the pièce de résistance, just look at the rich black and gold colourway, it's just so decadent. The applied nipple hour markers have minute luminous pips as doe the arrowhead at 12. The original lume remains on the Mercedes hands and has aged to a beautiful pale vanilla. The hands do have some pitting, which is unfortunate but the watch is completely original, this is simply a sign of age - the charms of vintage watch collecting! It takes nothing away from the beauty of the watch which is in otherwise exemplary condition and in this condition, with a jubilee bracelet and sold with its original box and papers, we don't expect it to be around for long.
