The series continued to evolve, and in 2017, Rolex unveiled the Sea-Dweller 126600, celebrating the model’s 50th anniversary. This iteration included a larger case size, a Cyclops lens for the date, and the latest Rolex movement technology. The Sea-Dweller remains an iconic timepiece, combining precision engineering with a rich history in the world of professional diving. The Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600, launched in 2017, commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller collection. With a 43mm case size, it represents a departure from the traditional 40mm size of its predecessors. The most notable addition is the Cyclops lens over the date, a feature absent in earlier Sea-Dweller models. Equipped with the Caliber 3235 movement, the watch boasts improved precision, power reserve, and resistance to shocks and magnetic fields. Maintaining its heritage as a professional diver’s watch, the Sea-Dweller 126600 retains the helium escape valve and a water resistance of 1,220 meters (4,000 feet). The red “Sea-Dweller” text on the dial pays homage to the original model. This iteration seamlessly blends Rolex’s cutting-edge technology with the timeless design elements that have made the Sea-Dweller a symbol of underwater exploration and durability in the world of luxury watches.
