Pre-owned Rolex Explorer 40 ref 224270 (2023) is the first 40mm model in the series. Rolex has made several changes to the collection's case size over the past several years - initially debuting the collection at 36mm in diameter, followed by a 39mm model in 2010. Today, collectors have their choice of either 36mm or 40mm. While the 36mm model is available in steel or two-tone, the ref. 224270 is currently only produced in 904L-grade Oystersteel.
