Extremely unusual 1 owner Explorer II. This particular watch is unique in the fact the military owner asked Rolex to change the dial at the time of purchase as he didn’t like the dial. The dial was changed by Rolex Hong Kong 50 years ago and has remained on the watch ever since (documented in the Rolex service history). This is a completely unique occurrence and certainly wouldn’t happen in modern times. The watch has its original papers, box, and much service history/provenance. Worn daily by its high ranking officer owner on military locations around the world (see pictures). Retains its original straight hand set and 72′ date stamped 7836 bracelet.
