Rolex Explorer II 16550

This is the second generation of the Explorer II, which was introduced in the 1980s. The design of the Ref. 1655 has been completely redesigned, including the abundant dotted indexes, the Mercedes hand on the short hand, and the triangular mark at 12 o'clock on the dial. Ref. 16550 was produced for only 4 to 5 years, which is a very short period of time, and it is said that it was only sold for about 2 years from around 1988, making it a highly rare model. The movement evolved from the Cal. 1570 to the Cal. 3085, which has a short hand that can move independently, and the 24-hour hand has a GMT function, allowing the wearer to know two time zones.
