Rolex Explorer II 1655 "Freccione" MK2
Introduced in 1971, the Rolex 1655 is today regarded as one of the funkiest and most desirables vintage watches by collectors. "Freccione" and "Steve McQueen" are only few of the many nicknames given by collectors to this model that perfectly resumes the aesthetic of its era.
This specific example is preserved in very good conditions and retains the early mk2 dial and and mk3 bezel, perfectly coherent with serial of the case.
An interesting feature about this example is that, contrary to the vast majority of them, the tritium plots didn't age into the usual yellowish color, while the GMT arrow turned from orange to white, hence the nickname "albino" used by collectors.
