Rolex Explorer II Ref. 1655 MKI - Straight Hand - Extraordinary condition full set 1971
We present this Rolex Explorer II reference 1655, also nicknamed "Freccione" or "Steve McQueen".
This timepiece was manufactured in 1971, as indicated by its papers and serial number (302XXXX). This is an MKI version, one of the most special series of this reference.
It is worth mentioning that all the parts are correct and that all the codes on the bracelet also match the year of manufacture (1/71 on the clasp, 280 end links and 7836 bracelet).
The condition of the watch is simply extraordinary, the best example we have seen. Probably only used a handful of times. The case and bracelet have never been polished or intervened on, the bracelet is free of any looseness and the clasp is also like new.
Another aspect to highlight is the impressive and complete set that accompanies this piece; both boxes, punched papers, green wallet, all the booklets, lacquer, and a plastic card from the authorized dealer. It even has the original back sticker in perfect condition, which was attached to the little green wallet when the watch was sold.
