Rolex Vintage Explorer II, Ref 1655 - Steve McQueen 'Big Orange' Hand 3,804,xxx Serial number identifies this watch as being manufactured circa 1974 according to Rolex production data. This watch was serviced by Rolex in March 2005 per the included (and serialized) Rolex Service Receipt and Service Certificate. All pictures are of actual watch and service receipts you will receive with this watch. So called Steve McQueen 'Big Orange' (Hand) for its rumored history of being the Rolex watch Steve McQueen wore when he wasn't being paid to wear a heuer (or other) watch. The Big Orange Hand refers to the comically oversized Orange luminous triangular hand that indicates 24 hour military zulu time using the 24 hour scale on the bezel. (Funny enough, Steve McQueen was never seen wearing a Rolex 1655 but that hasn't prevented the Steve McQueen King of Cool moniker from sticking for the past 30+ years.) This watch comes with everything as pictured including: -original Vintage Rolex box -Original Rolex RSC Service Receipt and RSC Certificate Rolex original Stainless Steel Oyster bracelet is full length complete with all links as purchased new from dealer and will fit up to 7 3/4 inch wrist sizes.
