The result is a magnificent '6239' that is known for being large, tough and legible, beginning the collection of the renowned Daytona for Rolex. As technology has been improving constantly, so have Rolex’s watches. In the Daytona’s 60 years of production, it has seen many improvements and dissimilarities from the style of the case, dial, movement and bracelet. The watch offered here is a reference 6263, which not only differs from the reference 6239 for its acrylic bezel and screw-down pusher, but it also features a highly unusual dial, personalised with the UAE coat of arms rendered by hand in polychrome enamel. In addition, just above the hour counter at six o'clock is the Arabic signature of His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who was at the time the Minister of Defence for the United Arab Emirates.
