This stunning mid-60s Day-Date, reference 1803, is a true beauty. The 36 mm Oyster case houses the caliber 1556 and on top of that automatic movement sits this beautiful glossy black dial that has no blemishes. In our humble opinion nothing quite beats the black on gold contrast, add the depth that a galvanic 'Gilt' dial provides and you have yourself a winner. Interestingly enough it has quite a bold and fat font, typically seen on some "Swiss-only" dials in the 60's. This 'four-digit' Day-Date is in great shape all around. The 18k yellow gold President bracelet with folded clasp has little to no stretch. The case has thick lugs and the fluted bezel is still sharp. The original discs are still installed. But most importantly, we are in awe with that incredible dial...
