For sale is a Rare 1966 Vintage Day-Date Ref. 1803 in Solid 18k Rose Gold, commonly referred to as Pink Gold.
The Ref. 1803 is commonly found in Yellow Gold or White Gold but rarely ever in Rose Gold. This is primarily due to the fact that Rose Gold was not a popular metal in the 60s. Fast forward to today, rose gold is highly sought after, more so than other metals.
This example comes fitted with the Original President bracelet which is in great condition and shows little stretch. The President bracelet is one of the most prestigious and recognizable bracelet designs in the world of luxury watches. It was originally designed specifically for the Rolex Day-Date, which is why the Day-Date model is often referred to as the "Rolex President."
Featuring a stunning Copper/Salmon Sunburst Pie-Pan dial which perfectly compliments and blends with the colour of the Rose Gold Case & Bracelet. The Dial has aged over time and developed small bubbles evenly spread out across the surface which gives the watch a unique characteristic and adds to its vintage appeal.
