Description

1967 Rolex Datejust Reference 1603 With Papers Why This Watch Matters This classic Rolex Datejust has a beautiful patina on the dial, and an engine-turned bezel and Jubilee bracelet to complete the look. Plus, it's accompanied by the original guarantee and chronometer certificate. The Full Story First introduced in 1945, the Rolex Datejust has remained one of the most iconic watch designs that has withstood the test of time. Over the years, the reference numbers and iterations changed ever so slightly, with a range of dial colors and bezel types. The design continues to remain as fresh and attractive today as it did over 70 years ago. This example is a reference 1603 with an engine-turned bezel and a silvered dial that has gained a beautiful patina like only a vintage watch can. The Datejust is truly a universal design that works for everyone and in any occasion. The silver dial has gained a beautiful light champagne color and retains a set of full lume plots that have also aged to a nice creamy color. The lume on the hands has aged as well. There is a slight imperfection above the letter “O” of “ROLEX,” and by the index at six o’clock. The Jubilee bracelet is a later added version with some stretch between the links.
