Rolex Datejust ref 16200 circa 1987 Full Set Box & Papers
An early sapphire crystal Datejust ref 16200 complete with box and papers. Featuring a 36mm diameter case with smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, and an especially sharp conditon original silver satin dial with tritium lume indexes and matching tritium lume hands. Fitted with Rolex stainless steel D link Jubilee bracelet with deployant clasp. The case serial # R5 dates this model to circa 1987 and makes it one of the earliest sapphire crystal models.
Powered by caliber 3135 movement with quick set date. The preceding model is the 16000 which used the earlier production 3035 movement with quickset feature, but with acrylic crystal. A watch for every day wear, but furthermore of collector interest in this fine condition and complete with original Rolex warranty papers and additional accompanying materials when sold new in 1987.
An exceptionally clean example, just back from service by one of our veteran watchmakers and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. Includes original Rolex warranty papers, serial #’d hang tag, Rolex Oyster and Datejust booklets, sleeve for papers, box and chronometer tag.
