Rolex Datejust 36 16013 I am offering for sale my beautiful Rolex Datejust 36 mm, reference 16013 for sale. This gorgeous watch dates from 1985/86. This is ascertained by cross referencing its serial number 8746752 (located between the lugs at 6 o’clock) with published tables. It has a design that has barely changed in 60 years. The 18K gold fluted bezel, the date magnifier, 18K gold crown and jubilee bracelet are all truly iconic.
The watch comes on its Rolex two-tone gold and steel bracelet, also in good condition. The bracelet carries the code 62525H with 455 end links. The bracelet has micro-adjustment holes at the clasp and links can be added or removed with small screws. At its present configuration it is set for a 7 inch wrist -3 holes are free for expansion and 3 for reduction. It goes without saying that the watch is running well although comes with no history.
The watch is powered by the calibre 3035, a movement which was introduced by Rolex in 1977 and ending in 1988. This movement has a beat rate of 28,800 v.p.h., and is of course a “Certified Chronometer –C.O.S.C. ” movement with 26 jewels and a power reserve of 48 hours (when new). The watch has a quickset date change mechanism of course and is an automatic with bi-directional auto-winding. To complete this fantastic package, the watch comes with its characteristic red Rolex storage box with red internal cushion.
