Rolex Datejust 36 6605
Hello up for sale is a vintage Rolex Datejust Bubbleback model 6605 from circa 1957, with Matte white dial. This rare watch comes with a checkerboard bezel, dauphine hands, and roulette (alternating black/red) date wheel. The watch and bezel are unpolished.
The 1065 caliber automatic movement with butterfly rotor is in excellent physical/functional condition, and was professionally serviced by a watchmaker/moderator at Vintage Rolex Forum in April of 2023.
The beautiful matte dial, while not perfect, looks great in this unpolished case. I had the hands and lume plots professionally relumed with tritium; otherwise, the dial face and fonts are original. A T21-styled tropic dome crystal highlights this beautiful dial.
Caseback is dated I.57. All engravings on case and caseback are clear and legible.
