Pre-owned Rolex Air-King ref 5500 (1981) features a desirable double branded dial with the Rolex logo prominently displayed at the 12-hour marker and the Tiffany & Co. retailer logo stamped just above 6 o'clock. It isn't uncommon to find double-signed Rolex watches from this era because Rolex allowed the practice until around the early 1990s when it stopped honoring the warranties of Rolexes stamped with "Tiffany & Co." This Rolex is a fascinating part of Rolex history because it also hails from the 5500 series, an iteration of the famed Air-King produced from the late 1950s until around 1989. It features many design elements emblematic of a classic vintage Rolex, such as an acrylic crystal, Tritium luminescent material, and narrower lugs.
