this is a rado diastar from 1985 and one of the very first releases of their diastar series. back in the late 80s to the mid 90s rado watches were very adorable and quite expensive with prices from 1500 up to 5000 dm (deutsche mark, meaning a few thousand us dollars). many people at that time would have easily chosen a quartz rado over an automatic rolex. how times have changed. however, we love the early models from the 1980s with extremely sharp edges and applications of glas and ceramic in their bracelets. this cool bicolor steelwatch with it´s 27 x 32 mm case and integrated bracelet is the perfect daily wearer and again a fashionable statement today.
