Comments:
In the recent years, 80’s era old models Piaget Polo are much sought after by the collectors
The Polo Bamboo Series was a limited edition, just produced less than 200 pieces for the yellow gold
Piaget old models Polos produced about 3,000 of the square and the round Polo was not more than 6,000, in total were not more than 9,000 examples in 80’s era. About 98% of Polo were Quartz and less than 2% are automatic and manual wind which are extremely rare. Yellow gold Polo are by far the most common, representing about 70% of examples. About 25% are bi-metal (white gold and yellow gold), and less than 5% are white gold because white gold was almost double retail price compared with the same yellow gold model in that era.
Outside of the common models, production was quite low, some customisations were often produced in as few as one piece to 25 examples. We our founder who is a huge fan with Piaget has been for over 40 years and says he still discovers unique Polo he’s never seen before. He says many of the watch dealers always mix up the series name of the 70’s-80’s era Polo, Protocole, Emperador, Dancer.
This Polo Bamboo yellow gold was just produced about 200 pieces which is outside of the Polo common model, so this brand new masterpiece is something you can not ask for
