Description
PATEK PHILIPPE. AN EXCEPTIONAL AND ONLY KNOWN 18K GOLD WRISTWATCH WITH SWEEP CENTRE SECONDS AND TWO TONE SECTOR DIAL
REF. 130, MANUFACTURED IN 1924
Movement: Manual
Dial: Silvered, two tone sector dial
Case: 31.7 mm.
Remark: The only known ref. 130 with centre seconds and without chronograph function, watch has been fully overhauled at Patek Philippe in 2022. This piece is the earliest ref. 130 identified by case number and is possibly the first example made, possibly as a prototype to the subsequent monopoussoir chronograph iterations of the reference. The watch was retailed by Guillermin in Paris, Patek Philippe's Parisian retailer in the era, as such piece features several marks for Guillermin and French import marks well visible on the case
With: Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, Patek Philippe service invoice and a comprehensive study booklet by Tortella & Sons
