Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar

Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5140 Perpetual Calendar in 2006. It is the successor to the 3940, one of the most significant timepieces in Patek's recent history, which set the standard for all perpetual calendars that followed. The watch's slim micro-rotor movement complements its contemporary 37.2mm size and sleek design, resulting in an innovative and sophisticated timepiece. --> SPECIFICATIONS Brand: Patek Philippe Model: Perpetual calendar Reference Number: 5140R-001 Movement: Automatic Condition: Very good Gender: Men's Time Period: 2010 Box: Yes Papers: Extract from Patek Philippe Archives THE CALIBER Caliber: 240 Q Jewels: 27 THE CASE Case Material: 18K rose gold Case Diameter: 37.2 mm Thickness: 8.5 mm Waterproof: 100 ft./ 30 m./ 3 ATM Bezel Material: Stepped 18K rose gold Glass: Sapphire Crystal Caseback: Open display back Dial: Brown sunburst Dial Numerals: 18K rose gold applied stick hour indices, dot minute track around the outer rim, white painted Arabic numerals on the sub-dials THE BRACELET / STRAP Bracelet Material: Brown Leather Buckle: Deployant Fold-over with Calatrava cross Buckle Material: 18K rose gold THE FUNCTIONS Perpetual calendar, date, moon phase indicators at 6 o'clock, day of the week and 24-hour register at 9 o'clock, month and leap year indicators at 3 o'clock, hours, minutes, 48-hour power reserve. --> FURTHER READING 18K rose gold dauphine-shaped hands and leaf-shaped functions hands 18K rose gold Calatrava cross push/pull crown Original Patek Philippe buckle Sapphire crystal display case back The solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and stepped bezel are polished. This mechanism oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) Discontinued collector's item. Patek Philippe made the first perpetual calendar wristwatch in 1925. This Patek Philippe Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar, reference 5140, was introduced in 2006, replacing the model ref. 3940. It was then replaced by model reference 5327. The three registers of the brown sunburst dial display the various functions symmetrically. The subdials display the counter for leap years and months at three o'clock, the month and day/night indicators at nine o'clock, and the moon phase, which is surrounded by the days of the month, at six o'clock. The gold dauphine hands and dart indices add a daring touch to the dial. This example is in very good, unpolished condition and is accompanied by a Patek Philippe presentation box and a 2010 extract from the Patek Philippe Archives. In addition, Twain Time provides a one-year limited warranty.
