New gents sealed Patek Philippe Oversize Chronograph in 18k white gold, Ref# 5070G-001. On a dark blue reptile strap with an 18k white gold deployant buckle. Smooth bezel with a sapphire crystal and a sapphire display case back. The case diameter is 42 mm. Manually wound movement with chronograph and sub-seconds. Silver dial with applied Arabic numerals. This rare white gold Patek Philippe Ref. 5070G-001 Chronograph remains factory sealed and complete. Accompanied with its original certificate of origin, instruction manual, swing tag, outer shipping box, factory sleeve, and presentation box. This Ref. 5070G-001 comes from the original owner with papers dated 2007. This is the best example of this sought-after model available in today’s market. In 1998, after 30 years, the Ref. 5070 represented Patek Philippe’s return to the production of chronograph watches. The last chronograph model produced before this was the Ref. 1463, which halted production in the late 1960s. The Ref. 5070 production was limited to 250 watches per year in each metal. It was in production for a relatively short time, yellow gold 1998-2002, rose and white gold 2002-2008, and platinum 2008-2009. The Ref. 5070 houses a Lemania-based CH 27-70 manual caliber movement, whose frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour allows for a 60-hour power reserve. The Ref. 5070 was the last Patek Philippe to feature a Lemania-based movement. The Seller is located in Westchester County, NY.
