The Patek Philippe ref. 130 was the first serially-produced chronograph by the brand, being initially launched in 1934 and being produced all the way up to 1964. The watch was typical of its time, featuring a 33mm case usually made from gold. The watch is beautifully designed, with slender lugs accentuating the round case. This example has Roman numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock, with baton markers on the rest of the dial. As the ref. 130 was often made to individual order, the dial, hands and case configuration would have been the result of a specific request by the client.
Inside the watch sits the calibre 13-130, based off a manually-wound Valjoux ebauche (movement blank) which would have been hand-finished and regulated by Patek's watchmakers. To this day, the ref. 130 remains as Patek Philippe's most recognisable chronograph, and has gone to inspire many other designs from both the brand and its rivals.✅Authentic: All watches are authenticated and come with a letter of authenticity
