The Patek Philippe reference 1579 is considered one of the most important and rarest chronographs ever produced by the prestigious Geneva-based company.
This model is characterized by its square chronograph pushers and the distinctive lugs, technically known as "spider lugs".
The Ref. 1579 is the only Patek chronograph with these special lugs to be produced in series.
The impressive size of 36 mm for the time is also remarkable.
From the early 1940s to the mid-1969s, Patek Philippe produced the Ref.1579 in yellow, rosé, steel and platinum in two different series.
The first series had rectangular indices and Arabic numerals, while the second series had square indices and Arabic numerals.
This Patek Philippe chronograph is in exceptionally good condition, probably in original unpolished condition with barely visible signs of wear.
All hallmarks are perfectly preserved, which further increases the value and attractiveness of this wonderful watch.
Original dial and hands!
Movement in perfect condition, it was also overhauled by our watchmaker.
The watch also still has its original crocodile strap with the original pin buckle.
In addition to its rarity and immaculate condition, the Ref. 1579 is powered by one of the best chronograph calibers ever developed, the in-house caliber 13-130.
Another special feature of this Patek Philippe is the original Patek Philippe box in which the watch is delivered.
Accompanied by the pp - archive extract, which confirms the date of manufacture. - and sales date of 1951.
