Patek Philippe Calatrava
Patek Philippe’s first Calatrava was introduced in 1932 by the Stern brothers. Its formula was simple – the Calatrava was to be an uncomplicated, precious and hand assembled wristwatch with traditional proportions. Now, 87 years after its premier, it remains one of the world’s most coveted wristwatches, synonymous with fine Swiss watchmaking.
This example, cased in 18k yellow gold and decorated by a hobnail bezel, has a totally unique character. With an incredibly clean white enamel dial and a set of understated black Roman numerals, the watch ultimately wears a bit larger than its 33mm size might first suggest.
And of course, it comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and appraisal and is shipped carefully and fully insured via UPS expedited service.
