Launched in 1997 as a men’s watch, it was only fair that Patek Philippe would follow the Aquanaut up with a women’s variant, and so, in 2004, they launched the Aquanaut Luce collection, or Aquanaut “Light,” in English. Smaller in size and featuring diamonds and quartz movements, this stunning collection straddled the border between the Aquanaut’s tool watch utility and Patek’s heritage as a watchmaker with an eye for the luxurious. Released this year amongst a collection of four other Luce models, the ref. 5267/200A that we have here is a luxuriously crafted stainless steel beauty that brings steel and diamonds together in a wonderful marriage of luxury and everyday wearability. Larger in size than most female watches, the ref. 5267/200A is 38.8mm wide, giving it a contemporary fit on the wrist while still elegant thanks to its thin 7.9mm profile. With its classy white dial alongside its white rubber strap, this monochromatic beauty can easily be worn with just about anything its owner desires. Embossed with the Aquanaut's signature pattern, this matte white dial's black Arabic numerals and black date wheel provide perfect visual consistency and legibility. Measuring almost 39mm in diameter, the Aquanaut ref. 5267/200A fits the contemporary styling that has become popular for women as they seek larger watches with stronger wrist presence.
