The superb 5146 features several great complications on its silver-colored dial, the first of which is definitely the annual calendar. Patek revolutionized mechanical wristwatch calendars when it invented the annual calendar in the 1990s, a complication with almost the same complexity and practicality as its perpetual calendar, to be set only once a year, at the end of February. The calendar on this model is displayed via two dials, and the date is positioned at 6 o'clock, arranged in a remarkably intuitive formation. Another special complication, the moon phase, reflects the power reserve display at the bottom and top of the watch, respectively.
