The original Panerai PAM305 is discontinued after being made for 8 production years (Starting with L series and discontinued after S series) and has been replaced with the PAM1305 starting in the T series. The 2 watches are essentially the same watch but powered by a new(er) in-house 3-days movement that is just slightly thinner than the original P.9000 movement which allows the thickness of the case on the PAM1305 to be slightly thinner than its big brother the PAM305. Some suggest they prefer the thicker case of the PAM305 to the PAM1305. The current model PAM1305 has a retail MSRP of $9,000.
