OMEGA Military Reference 2777-1 SC Watch

OMEGA military reference 2777-1 SC Steel watch, Swiss circa 1953, manual winding, screwed case, British Royal Air Force caseback engraving, soft iron inner case and restored dial, original winding crown and luminous hands. origin, caliber 283 movement, 17 jewels, balance with Breguet hairspring. The watch works (completely restored 5 years ago). Diameter: 37mm. Length: 20 (adjustable). This watch is extremely rare and one of the most collected British military watches. This 1953 Omega was part of an exclusive year-long order from the British Royal Air Force, a limited number of only 5900 pieces were produced for pilots and officers. This watch was both antimagnetic and chronometer certified. The watch is made of steel and soft iron to prevent the magnetism of aircraft instruments from affecting its performance during military operations. It is definitely one of the most sought after military pieces and will continue to rise in value. This 2777-1SC has a much larger case than the military model from the 1940s. These watches were originally produced with Radium "Thin Arrow" dials, however rumors of irradiation led Omega to recall and repaint the dials. with Tritium. This is why the letter "T" under Omega is therefore circled and then nicknamed "Fat Arrow". This copy is in incredible condition with a restored dial (large arrow and circled T). Anti-magnetic plate to protect the movement. Water resistant to 30 meters. The case back is engraved (6645-101000- NATO code.) (6B/542- crew number.) (941/53- store number and year of order).
