Description

1974 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Automatic Bracelet Watch, Quick-Setting Date - Stainless Steel Today's offering showcases this distinctively retro styled example of one of Omega's vintage gent's Geneve watches. It is a classic retro Omega with tonneau case, integrated bracelet, blue vignette dial, and automatic movement with quick-setting date. Powering it is Omega's automatic caliber 1012 engine found in Seamasters and other models from the era. It has 23 jewels, seven more than most Omega's from the era. It has all of its original parts down to even the crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. The rugged yet shapely case with water-resistant style screw down back presents as just short of mint with a few light remnants of wear to the back. On the wrist the case presents as gorgeous mint. Its striking dial, with its classic 70's vignette coloring, has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. We really love the tuxedo striping on the markers. It gives them a wonderful reflective quality. As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement. It is clean and keeping very accurate time. For the finishing touch, we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate. Note: The watch's page on the Omega website can be found here . A half-century old Omega that presents like new on the wrist! Omega Geneve: Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, and Prince William, also one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA. Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve). According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
