The Speedmaster is one of Omega’s most iconic timepieces. Having participated in all six lunar missions, this timepiece perfectly embodies the brand’s adventurous and pioneering spirit. The specimen here offered has a 40.5 mm case and is inspired by the legendary original 1957 model. It features a solid stainless steel case with straight lugs, a brushed bezel featuring a burnished tachymeter scale and is fitted with a matching steel bracelet. The flat sapphire crystal case back with interior anti-reflective coating shows the beauty that powers the whole watch, a hand-wound Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9906. Extremely elegant is the ice-blue two-tone dial with rhodium-plated hour markers and “Broad Arrow” hands with white Super-LumiNova. It features a date window at 6 o’clock, quite a generous seconds counter at 9 o’clock and 12-hour register sub dial at 3 o’clock. Offered in basically new old-stock condition, the watch also comes with its original box, warranty and additional links.
