Fitted with a caliber 1861, mechanical, hand wound, rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, protected with a dust cap, screwed steel case back, sapphire crystal. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 39.70 mm. Thickness 14 mm. Accompanied by a fitted presentation box with outer packaging, international warranty card, pictograms card, Nato strap, hang tag. - Created in tribute to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this Speedmaster “First OMEGA in Space”: The Met Edition features a varnished black dial with a small seconds subdial, 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph recorders, along with a central chronograph seconds hand and a box-form scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The black anodized aluminum bezel, with its tachymeter scale, is mounted on a 39.7 mm stainless steel case with symmetrical casebands and straight lugs. This Numbered Edition model is presented on a red and white striped Nato strap with The MET logo engraved on the loop. The same logo is also engraved on the caseback, along with OMEGA’s iconic Seahorse medallion. Inside, the watch is driven by the OMEGA caliber 1861, a descendent of the famous manual-winding movement that was worn on the moon. Each model is delivered inside a special presentation box, crafted with a Metropolitan Museum of Art logo, and containing an additional leather strap – Courtesy of Omega.
