L' Omega Speedmaster è stato scelto per i programmi spaziali per oltre mezzo secolo ed è stato associato ad alcune delle più grandi avventure spaziali dell'umanità, guadagnandosi il nome di The Moonwatch. La referenza ST 105.003 è uno degli Speedmaster più significativi, se non il più significativo. In effetti, è stato l'unico sopravvissuto ai test estremi della NASA.
