Switzerland , Die CK 859 re-edition pays homage to the Omega classic wristwatch reference CK 859, which launched in the mid 1930s and gained fame mainly in the late 1930s with the introduction of the famous novel Omega manual-wind calibre 30T2 with auxiliary second. Calibre 30T2 was a very versatile ebauche and different versions of it were produced up to 1963. The Omega CK 859 re-edition looks very much like the original, but with a more modern size of 39 mm. The dial is made of solid sterling silver and has – just like the original – a central section and printed dark-blue graduations and blued sword hands. The watch is powered by the proprietory Co-Axial master calibre 8926, a chronometer movement with 72 hour power reserve, which is visible through the sapphire crystal back and certified by METAS as a master chronometer.
