Description

Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Vintage Memovox 18ct Gold We are proud to present this luxurious and collectable Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Memovox 18ct gold watch for sale. In 1950, Jaeger-LeCoultre launched a new model for businessmen. With its alarm function intended to remind them of their appointments, the Memovox - whose name means ‘voice of memory’ - became the first in a long succession of alarm watches that Jaeger-LeCoultre has constantly improved, on both aesthetic and technical levels. This version the E855 was produced in the late 1960’s and comes set in a polished 37mm solid 18ct yellow gold case with a matching smooth bezel. The dial is a striking gold colour with a textured outer ring with chunky block hour markers and matching gold hands. The inner part of the dial is a brushed gold finish and has the alarm indicator on it, which can be independently set/wound via the 2 o’clock crown. The dial is finished off with a printed black minute track marker around the alarm disc and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. It is fitted with a domed acrylic plexi-glass and is powered by the calibre 825 automatic ‘bumper’ movement protected by a solid gold caseback. It also comes fitted on a genuine 18ct yellow gold Jaeger bracelet with a folding clasp. Originally purchased in August 1968 and in fine condition for its age, this Memovox comes with a genuine Jaeger box, previous service receipt dated 2000, original warranty booklet and original sales receipt from J.W.Benson, London. This Memovox is sold with a 12-month warranty from SWC. This would be an incredible piece for any Jaeger fan or vintage enthusiast. Please contact us for shipping costs to the E.U.
