Nautical instruments the size of a pocket watch inspired a rather unusual wristwatch in the 1930s, based on a Savonnette pocket watch caliber and equipped with a minute track, Arabic numerals and slender lancet hands. The dial of the watch, which later became known as the Portugieser, has remained virtually unchanged since then. Scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal. New, non-original black leather strap with orignal iwc pin buckle in stainless steel. The watch has been checked and freshly overhauled by a certified master watchmaker.
