(IWC), Portuguese Jubilee 125th Anniversary, ref. 5441, a limited edition wrist watch, no. 276/500, circa 1993, manual wind movement, 19 jewels, cal. 9828, adjusted to 5 positions, silvered dial, applied Arabic numerals, feuille hands, subsidiary constant seconds dial, snap display case back, case stamped with 18 carat gold common control mark, on an IWC brown crocodile strap with an 18 carat gold pin buckle, dial, movement, strap and buckle signed, diameter 42mm In 1993 IWC launched a limited-edition Portuguese to celebrate their 125th anniversary. This is a replica of the original model from the 1940s, keeping the plexiglass crystal but adding a sapphire case back to display the specially engraved calibre 982, a pocket watch movement also used in the original watches.
