The Spitfire series faithfully follows the design of the Mark XI, the origin of IWC's Mark series of pilot's watches. The dial design is inspired by the cockpit of the Spitfire, and the khaki green fabric strap with leather on the reverse side creates a sporty, vintage-like impression. The Cal. 35111 movement has been replaced by the IWC-manufactured Cal. 32111 movement, and the power reserve has been significantly extended to approximately 120 hours.
