IWC (LUXURY ENGINEER - FIRST GENERATION / YELLOW GOLD REF. 666AD), circa 1955 Exceptional anti-magnetic watch, part of the first productions of IWC, competitor at the time of the Rolex Milgauss. Classic case in 18-carat (750 thousandths) yellow gold with smooth bezel and screwed back with scratches (signed IWC, hallmarked and numbered between the lugs). Brushed silver bell dial with applied arrow indexes, luminescent dauphine hands and dots. Signed "Engineer" at 6 o'clock, original crown and date window at 3 o'clock. This watch was developed by IWC to be insensitive to the magnetic fields that disrupted the watches of engineers and technicians of the time. The watch movement is protected from magnetic interference by a soft iron dust cover. Ostrich bracelet with gold-plated buckle.
