Grand Seiko SBGW235 Manual Wind
Released as a recreation of the original Grand Seiko timepieces that Seiko released back in 1960, the SBGW235 was launched as part of Grand Seiko’s Elegance collection no too long after the brand had split from Seiko and a singular entitiy. Sized like a typical dress watch, the SBGW235 features a round 37mm case that is just 11.6mm thick and a set of long angular lugs that feature polished bevels that sharpen-up its design. Powered by the manually wound cal. 9S64 movement, the SBGW235 features 72 hours of power reserve and remains linked to the original Grand Seiko watches that it is inspired by. With a stunning domed creamy dial with almost no inscriptions besides Grand Seiko’s name under their applied logo and minute markers next to the applied hour markers, the SBGW235’s dial is reminiscent of the dress watches of old with its understated design and under-the-radar craftsmanship.
