Description

Favre leuba Geneve 1950s Oversize Chronograph Val. 71 Rif: AF00141 Extremely rare 1950s Favre-Leuba triple register Chronograph Valjoux 71 Stainless steel anti magnetic screw back case, measures 40mm (excluding crown), stright lugs. Original awesome sunburst Silver dial, applied radium lume dots, radium hands. Powered by a manual-winding movement cal.Valjoux 71, in excellent working condition. Amongst the big players of the tool watch industry in the mid to late 50s and early 60s, Favre-Leuba most notably designed the Bivouac, a barometer watch that was capable of measuring altitudes of up to 9000 meters. This rare Favre-Leuba is similar in design to some of the early Speedmasters, in fact, proportionately the case is near identical. In this example, the facets are strong and thick and the case appears unpolished.
