This is easily the best condition Guide for sale anywhere bar none. Please feel free to look at all other Enicar Sherpa Guide sales both on C24 and elsewhere, especially the ones claiming to be NOS! I bought the watch in November 2021 after learning about Enicar in issue 76 of Oracle Time magazine. The Guide was way ahead of its time when launched in 1960 with its, for the time, whopping 43m case and bright colours. A true standout against its peers. It was bought on a Enicar specific forum from a UK member who had in turn bought it from a collector in the USA many years before. Now I normally buy watches to wear but this one is in such beautiful condition considering its 55 years that I haven't been able to bring myself to wear it so it still remains in same unworn condition that I received it. Check my Reddit Pride & Pinion post for a short reveal vid: https://www.reddit.com/r/PrideAndPinion/comments/176wu3d/super_crisp_enicar_sherpa/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 The watch has never had the case back removed and still has plastic protector in place. I do not have the (specific bayonet) tool required to remove it so not wanting to damage the case it has been left untouched. It still winds smoothly and runs although I have not tested its accuracy. A condition appraisal would read as follows: Case: 43mm case with original stainless steel brushed bracelet with 22mm (short) lugs and dual signed crowns, case as new condition with only very lightest of handling marks and a tiny very small nick on edge of case from storage, I would rate overall as as 95-98% Dial: Super condition no fading to black colour with logo and all printing crisp and clear, lume in excellent unmarked condition Hand set: Excellent condition hour and minute hands showing only slight signs of tarnishing under close magnification. All lume still in place, seconds and 24 hour chequered hand in perfect condition. Outer/Inner Bezel: Outer and inner bezels in superb condition with all colours and printing crisp and clear, orange rotating ring in perfect condition and all rotating freely and as designed. Bracelet: Again superb condition, zero stretch plus includes all links as the watch was never sized. I subsequently bought an age appropriate Enicar box, also in perfect condition from an Enicar Facebook group. Please note this is not the exact box that the watch would have come in but is included in the sale. I now have my eye on something else (that I can wear without fear), so with regret I am putting my Guide up for sale, knowing I will never see another one like it. The watch is located in mainland Europe and will be shipped by insured courier. If you would like any more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
