The watch is in an exceptionally good and completely original condition. The Cartier Tank is Cartier's most iconic wristwatch, inspired by and named after the new vehicle that terrified soldiers in the trenches of the First World War. Its lugs and rectangular case shape resemble the top-down view of the early tank designs, which had uncovered tracks along the sides. In 1996 Cartier launched the Tank Française as an all-day version of the Tank, and turning it into a bracelet watch. The watch has a bolder and more squared case than the classic Tank. Combined with the chunky three-link bracelet, the watch takes on a cool assertive look. The 18k yellow-gold case measures 20 mm x 24.5 mm; perfect for a classy lady. The case is in good condition, with some normal light scratches which could easily be polished out if desired. On the warm white dial we find the classic black painted Roman numerals and matching minute track, together with blued sword hands. The 18k yellow-gold bracelet is in amazing condition. Together with the hidden clasp and slightly curved case the watch fits perfectly around the wrist. With 17 links the watch has a good total length of 17cm (links can easily be removed). The reliable quartz movement has recently been checked and equipped with a new battery.
