Cartier Santos Galbée 2823
This Cartier Santos Galbee XL (to give it it’s full name) has a stainless steel case measuring 32mm across, and 45mm lug to lug, so is not XL by normal standards, but just indicates that this is the largest case in the range. With a curved case back and a thickness of only 9mm it wears beautifully on most wrist sizes. This example is in excellent condition showing only light signs of wear. The steel case is scratch and dent free and the 18k gold bezel is unmarked. The watch has a slivered dial with classic Roman numeral markers with the hidden Cartier signature in the V of the 7 o’clock marker. There is a discreet date window between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock. The hands are blued steel. The watch has a screw-on case back behind which lays the Cartier Cal. 049 automatic movement. The crown is adorned with Cartier’s blue cabachon. The watch comes on a full size steel bracelet with hidden folding clasp and gold screw-head design throughout its length. The watch is supplied with its original box and wallet containing Instruction manual, stamped but undated Guarantee booklet, and Cartier DVD.
