Launched in the 1990s as a round version of the Cartier Santos, the Santos Ronde is perhaps the perfect blend of modernity and the Santos’ iconic design language as Cartier could have created. Round in shape, as its name suggests, the Santos Ronde still retains the Santos’ signature look with its polished screw-down bezel and screw-laden flat bracelet links. Made of 18kt yellow gold, 33mm in diameter and powered by a thin automatic movement, the Santos Ronde ref. 1900-1 is the epitome of Cartier as a watchmaker with its strong design a stunning example of the French Maison’s talents as a watch designer and jeweler.
