This model was named after the Duchess Maria Pavelona, who saw a pocket watch presented by Louis Cartier at a party and remarked that the oval case design resembled a bathtub (baignoire). The watch was overhauled by the manufacturer in June 2024.
Light polishing (light exterior finish) has been performed by the manufacturer. There are some minor scratches that are not bothersome, but the condition is very good.
