Taking the original sketeches by Bulgari's product creation executive director, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, two models each in a limited edition of 200 pieces were launched with the original hand sketches as the dials: A time only Octo Finissimo Automatic (also offered in this auction) and a Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT (the present lot). - The Bulgari caliber BVL 318 powered by a platinum peripheral rotor housed in the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT is one of the world's slimmest automatic chronograph dual-time movements, measuring only 3.30mm thick and boasting a 55-hour power reserve. - The present Octo Finissimo “Sketch” with a whimsical "human-touch" is in “like-new” unworn condition with its full set of accessories., Originally from Kalarites, Greece, Sotirios Voulgaris emigrated to Rome because of Greece's rising poverty and difficulty separating from the Ottoman Empire.
