BREGUET

(CHRONOGRAPHE TYPE 20 - 1ST GENERATION REF. 5101-54), circa 1955 Legendary pilot's chronograph from the Breguet 1st generation workshops which equipped French Air Force pilots (one of the rare chronograph versions officially ordered by the French Air Force). Steel case with screwed back with notches made by the army workshops for easier opening of the back. The Breguet Type 20 marking, as well as the reference numbers of the series are erased (only the number of the watch no. 7546 remains visible). Steel notched bezel and oversized 2nd generation replacement crown (originally with a pear-shaped crown). Black lacquered dial with 2 circled counters (seconds at 9 o'clock and minutes at 3 o'clock), seconds graduation scale around the dial. Arabic numerals and luminescent skeleton hands. Large spear second hand for the chronograph with fly back function. Added leather bracelet. The absence of a signature on the dial corresponds to the 1st period of delivery to the armies from 1954 to 1955. Movement: Mechanical caliber with manual winding VALJOUX / 222 - 14'' ligne 17 jewels - flyback, modified by Breguet with a Swiss spiral. Diam. 38mm. Condition: Good condition.
