Description

Well Preserved Ultra-slim Automatic Waterproof Wristwatch in Steel, Reference 5273

Model: Automatic Reference: 5273 Case Material: Stainless Steel Bracelet Material: Leather strap Year: 1970s Movement: Automatic Caliber: K2120 Case N°: 58112 Movement N°: 116883 Dimensions: 34 mm Signed: Case, dial, movement In 1966, Audemars Piguet in conjunction with Jaeger LeCoultre and Vacheron Constantin, started working on creating an ultra-thin automatic movement. The present lot houses one of the most historically important movements ever made. From the mid-1950s, brands were searching for ways of proving their technical mastery, not only in complications but also in creating slim movements. The present gentleman wristwatch in steel has a classic appeal given its untouched matte silver with applied black bâton indexes and hands accented with a black lacquered finish. The very thin case is absolutely elegant, the screw case back is totally shiny and almost never worn.
