Launched in 1997 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Royal Oak, faithful to the size of the first Royal Oak "Jumbo" ref. 5402, this first generation of chronographs arouses much covetousness.
This Royal Oak "Kasparov" owes its nickname to the chess player Garry Kasparov who was fond of this model. Ambassador Audemars Piguet, he maintained close ties with the Swiss manufacture for many years.
In less than 25 years, the Royal Oak Kasparov has undergone delicate evolutions and has been available in numerous colours. At 12 o'clock, the applied piece in the shape of an inverted triangle makes it easy to recognize; it is equipped with the Audemars Piguet caliber 2385, very thin for the time with a thickness of only 5.5 mm!
